    Stihl extends maintenance range

Stihl has announced a new series of care of clean kits with the MS and MS Plus for all petrol, cordless and electric chainsaws.

Both feature the new VarioClean Eco universal cleaning agent, made from natural raw materials. According to Stihl, this is compatible with all chainsaw surfaces, including polymers, metal, rubber and aluminium.

It can remove oil, resin and grease from all parts, including the air filters. Users simply spray the product onto the area and leave for five minutes before wiping it down with a damp cloth or brush.

The kits also include a wooden-handled cleaning brush, with plastic bristles and a metal blade, ensuring that the brush is suitable for removing dirt from the guide bar groove, as well as cleaning oil bores and loosening stubborn dirt.

MS Plus kits feature a washbag that can be used as a microfibre cloth or as a cleaning glove, to offer more effective cleaning of the HD2 filters. Once the filter has been sprayed with the VarioClean Eco and left for five minutes, users can put the filter in the washbag and wash it at 60 degrees.
