Maschio highlighted its new combination drill; the Centauro PA2 Isotronic and Aquila Super Rapido. The PA2 front hopper has a 2,000 litre capacity and can be split for seed and fertiliser. This links back to the rear seeding bar, available in 4m, 5m and 6m working widths.
This is combined with the new Aquila Super Rapido rotary harrow. This has a double-box structure with oil-tempered gears to improve strength, and a hardened transmission casing. A single assembly, including bearings and support, holds the harrow knives which the company states increases the load capacity and resistance.
The two-row seeding bar includes hydraulic adjustment of the coulter pressure, with three coulters available depending on conditions: the single disc with skids is reportedly ideal for medium grade soils, while the double Corex disc is best suited on light soils, and the Corex Plus can handle heavy soils and residues.
New to the combination is the ability the lift the seeding bar independently from the harrow, enabling cultivation work to take place without sowing.
