New 7 Series TTV introduced by Deutz

The latest two model tractor range from Deutz-Fahr is said to offer greater levels of comfort and higher traction force, combined with increased efficiency thanks to the new SDF TTV Compound transmission.

The 7250 TTV and 7250 TTV HD are powered by a Deutz TCD 6.1-litre Stage V engine, with a maximum of 247hp and torque levels up to 1,072Nm. This is put to the ground through the TTV Compound gearbox, which features the PowerZero function and PowerShuttle, and is capable of reaching 60kph at less than 1,800rpm and 40kph at less than 1,200rpm.

The gearbox comprises two hydrostatic units, paired with optimised mechanical components. This is said to guarantee robustness through a high mechanical power flow in typical working conditions. In addition to this, Deutz has increased maintenance intervals to 1,000 hours for engine oil replacement, and 2,000 hours for transmission oil.

Larger diameter rear tyres (2.05m) can be specified and the payload has been increased to 6,500kg, with a gross vehicle weight of 15,500kg. On the HD variant, this increases to 16,000kg. Intelligent front axle suspension is available, as are dry disc brakes for improved road safety. According to the company, the turning circle has also been reduced by nearly 2m.

A new steeper hood and raised cabin ensure all-round visibility, while the front 5,450kg capacity linkage can be coupled with the Dual Speed front PTO to offer 1,000rpm or 1,000rpm ECO. ECO speeds are also available at the rear to reduce fuel consumption and wear.

The hydraulic circuit is now independent of the transmission lubrication, with a load sensing pump available with three different flow rates up to 210 litres per minute. The CleanOil hydraulic system means that there are 90 litres of removable oil capacity and the spools are all electronically controlled, meaning the operator can programme them independently and control them proportionally.

Both models are Tractor Implement Management (TIM) read, allowing two-way communication between the tractor and the implement.

Also, for the first time in this power range, Deutz is offering the tractor with a Front Loader Light and ReadyKit. When fitted with the Profiline FZ80.1 front loader, the new 7 Series can lift to a height of more than 4.5m, with a breakout force of 3,770 daN.

The revised MaxiVision cab can be equipped with an improved pneumatic suspension, a practical bar mount for the installation of additional monitors and a pneumatic seat that can swivel up to 23 degrees. It’s also fitted with the new SR20 GNSS RTK satellite receiver, with the capability of Auto Turn on the headlands.

The iMonitor3 provides control of all 7 Series functions and allows data exchange with the Agrirouter system. New features include Via XTEND which allows the screen to be cast wirelessly to smart devices, and the 7 Series also includes a data management package and SDF Fleet Management free of the charge for the first year. This provides remote diagnostics to improve communication between the dealer and the operator.

Depending on towing requirements, the 7 Series can be equipped with hydraulic or pneumatic trailer brakes. The Dual Mode function allows it to connect old and new models of hydraulic braked trailers, while the advanced Trailer Brake Management optimises trailer braking performance. An engine brake is also available, which activates the E-visco fan to increase deceleration capacity.
