    New retrofit options set to bring new life to Fendt tractors

    Fendt’s Smart AG Engineering division has made available retrofit options for some of the company’s most popular tractors.

    These include additional hydraulic valves, side windscreen wipers, a cab-mounted MultifixBoard to mount control boxes and a base plate to hold a trailer hitch, handwash containers or a toolbox.

    “Many Fendts will be operating on UK farms for decades and retrofit options like these help some of our older models remain versatile and comfortable for operators. Our Smart AG Engineering division’s efforts to help Fendt customers update their machines is admirable and there are some genuinely innovative options now available,” says Ed Dennett, retail market manager, Northwest Europe.

    Looking at the Fendt 200 and 300 Vario models, these come with four hydraulic spools as standard. If a front loader is specified, two of these valves are taken up, so the possibility of adding a further two free-assignable units can boost productivity.

    “The two additional valves are fully integrated as the 5th and 6th EHS valves (brown and violet) into FendtONE. Both are installed in the rear yellow and blue valve spaces and the multi-coupler in the centre of the tractor occupies the yellow and blue valves as usual,” adds Ed.

    The valves are available towards the end of 2024, with the retrofit kit including cables, piping, colour clips and instructions. The base plate is available on 300 and 700 Vario models to provide additional storage.

    “The team has also designed a new retrofittable side windscreen wiper which will help when using boom mowers or working in poor weather conditions. All these updates will help existing Fendt customers get more from their tractors, further extending the life of Fendts in a way that demonstrates our commitment to value and sustainability,” concludes Ed.
