The Farming Innovation & Technology Showcase (FITS), from Timac Agro, is returning for a second year with three events taking place across the country.

Each event will provide farmers with details on agronomic trials, proven technologies and practical advice.

Sarah Boon, technical sales specialist at Timac, is encouraging farmers and industry professionals to take full advantage of the opportunities on offer. “This year, we’re making it even easier to access the latest in crop nutrition, biostimulants, and sustainable soil health innovations.

“By hosting FITS events at three very different sites, in the East, South and West, we’re ensuring that no matter your farming system, there’ll be something relevant and actionable to take home.”

    The events this year are:

    • FITS East – Thursday 10 July, Billups Siding Farm, Somersham, Cambridgeshire, PE28 3DS. Hosted by Myles Forber of A & EG Heading Ltd, this event will have a strong focus on sustainable arable systems, featuring biostimulant demonstrations and independently verified field trials and presentations from Ceres Research
    • FITS South – Wednesday 16 July, Stowell Farms, Wiltshire, SN9 5NL. Featuring a mix of sustainable farming practices across arable and dairy systems, this event will explore both crop and livestock trials, offering insights into integrated approaches to productivity.
    • FITS West – Tuesday 22 July, Duchy College, Cornwall, PL17 8PB. With a strong emphasis on soil health and maize management in mixed systems, this is an ideal opportunity to learn more about building system resilience while maintaining productivity, featuring a guest speaker from Lancrop

David Newton, technical product manager, will speak at all three events, with a focus on the vital role of soil health in building resilient farming systems, emphasising the value of good crop establishment.

“If you get the start right, you’re already halfway there,” he says. “Healthy, biologically active soils give crops the best possible foundation. In today’s economic and climatic environment, using soils to build resilience is more important than ever.”
