Kirky Tyres boosts Irish presence for Alliance with new warehouse

Kirkby Tyres, the exclusive UK partner of Alliance, a brand of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires, has opened a new Irish warehouse. Kirkby Tyres was the first export customer for Alliance, a relationship that was established in 1967, and has reportedly contributed to the reputation and market presence of the brand.

During a recent visit to the new venue, Angelo Noronha, European president at ‎Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT), and Ole Baek, head of sales for Northern Europe at YOHT, discussed recent market developments and new communication measures with Michael Rosenthal, marketing director of Kirkby Tyres as the UK’s and Ireland’s largest and most comprehensive distributor of off-highway tyre and wheel solutions.

“We are enormously pleased with almost five and a half decades of fruitful co-operation in the highly competitive market in the UK and Ireland. Kirkby Tyres ensure that tyres such as the Alliance 372 VF and the Agri Star II are well known to farmers and contractors – and the new warehouse further boosts numbers of SKUs and depth of stock whilst providing more space for the Agri Star II to meet the high demand for this unique tyre that we are facing”, said Ole Baek. “We also highly appreciate the innovative communication of Kirkby Tyres as co-operating with popular online (YouTube) influencers Adrian in Ireland (iFarm WeFarm) and Tom Pemberton in the UK (Tom Pemberton Farm Life) has helped to skyrocket the presence of the Agri Star II in farmers’ minds.”

Mr Rosenthal is equally pleased with the long-standing and exclusive distribution partnership. For Rosenthal, providing dealers and customers with Alliance tyres means offering high quality and excellent value for money. “We like spreading quality news to our customers. As a matter of fact, we are currently preparing our stand at LAMMA 2022 in Hall 9 which will hopefully take place in Birmingham on 11th and 12th January 2022. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the UK’s leading farm machinery show, we will have five Alliance tyres on display. In addition to the Alliance 590, the Alliance 585, the Alliance 389 VF and the Alliance 372 VF, we will surely also showcase the new star on the fields, the Alliance Agri Star II.”

For Mr Rosenthal, presenting the new warehouse to Angelo Noronha and Ole Baek provided an excellent opportunity to highlight the company’s dedication to serving its customers. “We invested over €3.5m and chose a strategic location with access to the major arterial routes. This puts us in the comfortable position to serve our customers in all geographical areas in the island of Ireland, with a markedly extended stock and further enhanced customer services”, he said.
