Boomed fertiliser spreader goes into series production at Horsch

The Horsch Leeb Xeric 14 FS is set to go into full production for the 2026 season. It was first announced ahead of Agritechnica 2023, before extensive field testing.

In addition to the initial working widths of 36m and 48m, Horsch will introduce a 39m version to complete the range. All models come with a 14cu m capacity tank and can spread accurately at speeds up to 20kph.

According to the company, the centrepiece of the machine is the PrecisionCalibration System, where fertiliser is transported out of the pressurised hopper via augers and into the metering box. This includes a fixed water meter, mounted on three stable weighing rods.

This means that the machine can be calibrated quickly. During development, additional metering augers were added to enable the machine to work with different fertiliser types and quanitities.

It’s completed with the tandem chassis, brought over from the Leeb 12 TD sprayer, with active steering on both axles of up to 28deg. Additional features integrated ahead of full production include an optional tyre pressure regulation system.
