Valtra celebrates production of 1000th T4 Series tractor

Only six months after the launch of the Valtra T4, the 1000th unit was produced at the Suolahti factory in Finland during May. The T144 Active was personally driven off the production line by Polish customer Adam Jarnutowski.

Since its launch in November 2014 the T Series has received significant positive recognition here in the UK and Ireland. The tractor was also voted Machine of the Year 2015 in the 180-280hp category at SIMA, and has received awards at agricultural shows in Denmark, Poland and Lithuania.

The current share of T4 tractors in the factory order bank currently runs at 43%. with the most popular models the T174e Versu (190hp), T214 Direct (230hp) and T234 Versu (250hp). The most popular colour is white at 28% followed by metallic black (18%) and metallic red (17%) in shared second place.

The white metallic T Series tractor is the latest investment at Jarnutowski’s 74ha dairy farm near Łomża in northeastern Poland where he milks 70 cows together with his father Henryk and supported by his wife Emilia. “I am looking forward to driving the tractor on the farm. It will replace a JD7800 and a JD6800 in handling all major tasks at the farm including ploughing, seeding, muck spreading, mowing, baling and powering a feeder wagon”, comments Jarnutowski and adds that his new T144 will clock up around 1000 hours per year.

Versatile tractor usage calls for a versatile tractor, so the 1000th unit was equipped with popular T4 options including front linkage and PTO, ISOBUS connector, pneumatic brakes and an engine block heater. To ensure comfort during long hours Aires+ front axle suspension, cab suspension and an air-suspended driver seat. A 270° windscreen wiper and a cool box are also part of the configuration.

Jarnutowski’s decision to purchase a Valtra tractor was largely influenced by an excellent relationship with his Valtra dealer Agrotechnik. According to Adam Zaluski, Sales Director at Agrotechnik, the new T Series is a very competitive tractor in its horsepower range with the tractors’ new design and spacious cab attracting a lot of attention from farmers and contractors. “Our customers also value our comprehensive product offering, good service and a good relationship with the dealer”, he adds.
