Amazone offers MultiFunctions to boost precision seeding

Amazone is promoting its MultiFunctions electronic control systems to ensure precise seed and fertiliser placement when used with its Precea air seeder.

The functions are available through the AmaTron 4 Isobus terminal and have been developed in-house by Amazone specialists.

    MultiBin

To facilitate the application of multiple products, Amazone offers the Precea-CC with an additional Micro plus granular applicator. This enables up to three products to be applied, with independent dosing rates and placement depths.

    MultiMap

Users can tailor seed and fertiliser rates to match soil conditions and water availability. The AmaTron 4 can process up to four variable rate application maps, applying products on a part-area, site-specific basis.

    MultiSwitch

Individual row shutoff for seed is available to avoid over and under-sowing in areas such as the headland. According to the company, this not only reduces overlaps but also helps to prevent gaps where weeds can establish.

The system is also available for fertiliser, reducing application rates and resulting in uniform crop growth.

    MultiBoom

Independent switch-off points for each applicator ensure greater accuracy in the field. The fertiliser coulter runs in front of the seed coulter, so the switch-off points for these are automatically staggered using the GPS Switch Pro terminal licence.

If a micro-granular applicator is fitted, this can be controlled using a timed stagger, ensuring that all three products are placed in the right location.
