A new GNSS receiver for auto guidance has been launched by PTx Trimble at the Agrishow in São Paulo, Brazil.
The NAV-960 replaces the NAV-900 and offers higher processing power and improved positioning performance, according to the company, with a new cast aluminium base designed to handle the toughest environments.
Its GNSS engine has been developed to track more satellites, paired with inertial sensors, the combination of which is said to provide up to 50% improved positioning and line following.
The onboard ProPoint and IonoGuard technology also protects against downtime caused by solar events or scintillation.
“As the precision ag industry evolves, we are focused on innovative solutions that make it easier for farmers to tackle the critical challenges they face in the field, and to do so in a way that creates added value,” said Andrew Sunderman, vice president of Product and Customer Experience.
“With the new NAV-960 guidance controller, farmers have access to some of the most advanced technical capabilities for GNSS positioning in the market, which ultimately helps to get the job done in less time and with more profitability.”
The NAV-960 is fully compatible with the company’s range of GFX displays.
