Lemken extends Solitair range for large farms

Designed specifically for large acre farms, Lemken has introduced the Solitair ST as an introduction to precision farming.

The machine offers a working width of 12m and can work in all tillage conditions, according to the company. It combines several operations into a single pass, with a range of leading implements available to provide the optimum conditions for the double disc coulters.

When defined row consolidation is required, the company can offer a plastic trapezoidal roller. If the soil needs to be levelled and clods broken down, Lemken can provide a levelling tine section. If targeted soil loosening if the aim then a series of corrugated discs is available.

The hopper is available in two variants. Either a 6,000-litre unit split equally for seed and fertiliser, or a 7,000-litre model divided into 3,000 and 4,000-litre sections. The whole system is fertiliser resistant, providing a long working life according to the company.

Four metering units per hopper section are fitted as standard, each supplying a single distributor with seed. This enables manual section control to be used even on the most basic models. The metering units can also handle two products simultaneously for single shoot application.

Each distribution head is mounted directly above the OptiDisc coulter bar, which is fitted with parallelogram-guided double disc coulters and trailing depth control rollers. Row spacings of 12.5cm or 16.7cm are available. As an option, the OpiDisc H hydraulic pressure control system can be specified, providing up to 70kg of downward force, compared to 45kg on the mechanical variant.

To ensure that the machine follows ground contours across the full 12m width, the Solitair ST is split into two sections, supported by the central frame. It will be available in limited numbers throughout late 2025, before going into full production in 2026.
