Krone has announced the Swativo T 1040 Pro, a new pickup rake which will reportedly be available in the UK for the 2028 season.
Designed to complement its range of rotary rakes, the Swativo will provide an option for growers working in leafy, herbaceous crops.
“When developing the Swativo T 1040 Pro, the focus was not only on top-quality forage but also on consistent swath formation and intuitive ease of use – and that is exactly what we have achieved with this machine,” emphasises Tobias Reher, product manager.
It offers an adjustable working width between 8.4m and 10.4m, and uses the proven EasyFlow pick-up system from the company’s range of forage equipment. It has a two-part design to enable it to follow ground contours, with rubber-coated guide rolls.
The twin-rotor system enables adjustments to be made to optimise crop flow, including independently changing the speed of FlexFlow feed rotor in relation to the pick-up.
Crop is transferred to a 1.2m wide conveyor belt, which is mounted at a steep angle to feed directly into the swath. The belt speed can also be adjusted to suit the forward speed.
All components are hydraulically driven, with a mounted hydraulic system which is powered by the tractor pto.
Flexible swathing
The machine is fully Isobus-controlled, with telescopic units and conveyors to easily adjust the swath width and the direction of the crop placement.
Different profiles can be saved and recalled, while an automatic belt stop system neatly cuts off the swath at the end of the crop. Crop collection is also possible in awkward areas of the field, and section control lifts each side out of work where necessary.
It requires just 120hp up front.
