The new RN_PROFI inter-row cultivator with sectional control.

The Row-Master RN_PROFI cultivator is Bednar’s new generation of inter-row cultivators that offer an independent row-unit control function.

Suitable for 80 to 200HP tractors, the RN_PROFI is available in working widths from 4.8 to 9.6m and working ground depths from 2 to 12cm. Plus, the Row-Master has a greater ground clearance of 90cm which allows the machine to weed wide-row crops, such as sunflower or corn, as well as offering new equipment options with the support of the CultiCam/Tillett and Hague automated guidance system.

The RN_PROFI models include a parallelogram structural design; each cultivation unit is mounted to the frame with a clip, the parallelogram then traces the terrain and maintains the set working depth of the cultivation units.

The cultivator can also be equipped with drill coulters for planting catch crop in the inter-rows. According to Bednar, planting catch crop with the drill coulters provides protection against erosion and increases the stability of harvesting equipment in case of rising humidity. A supplementary fertilisation set, for liquid fertiliser applications, is also available.

    Bednar row-unit control

The RN_PROFI cultivator is equipped with section control for each cultivation unit. Based on the data from the navigation system, the individual working units are gradually lifted (up to 45cm) and lowered, to minimise overlapping and reduce crop damage at headlands and along field borders. This function supports operators by minimising the demands put on them, and can increase productivity levels in varied conditions.

CultiCam/Tillet and Hague automated guidance system

With the CultiCam/Tillet and Hague system, individual row data and vegetation is assessed. The information is then transmitted to the electronic system which communicates with the hydraulic control of the cultivator.
