New 8m Alpego power harrow to go on show at Lamma

Joining the Opico stand at Lamma for the first time, following an agreement for Opico to handle the UK distribution, Alpego will showcase a range of products at the event.

Robbie Polson, commercial director said: “We have already seen a great deal of interest in the Alpego products and anticipate a good reaction from farmers and dealers alike.

“Opico will showcase a selection of the range and use the event to allow customers to get up close to the machinery, see the quality of build and discuss the products with the UK team and representatives from Alpego.

“We all know the industry is under pressure at the moment, marketing a wider range of Alpego products to appeal to more customers and provide our dealers with a complete portfolio of machinery is essential.”

    Flagship power harrow

Following its launch at EIMA International, the DMax 800 will make its UK debut. A new flagship for the range, it features an additional rotor to provide a true working width of 8.03m.

The central join of the central bed has now been offset to the join at the two rear rollers, which is said to minimise ridging, while the newly updated side plates, with wear-proof skids, are said to improve soil flow through the machine.

Another key feature is the AI-Guard system, which enables the operator to monitor the driveline from the cabin, as well as alerting the owner of upcoming servicing.

    A wide range

In addition to the 8m model, three new power harrows have been introduced at the bottom of the range to suit the horticultural market. The BA, BV and BE models are said to be ideal for tractors between 35 and 140hp.

Three new flail mowers will also join the portfolio for 2025, offering working widths from 1.4m up to 2m for viticulture and horticulture operations.
