Tractor of the Year 2026 – TotY HighPower – Fendt 832 Vario

Fendt’s new 800 range is powered by an Agco Core80 engine, with DynamicPerformance, linked to the TA 250 VarioDrive transmission, which, as with the 500 Vario in TotY Utility, provides independent power adjustment to each wheel for all-wheel drive and the turn-in effect during cornering.

On the 832, this equates to 320hp rated power, increasing by 23hp with the DynamicPerformance, which is available at any point, not just during pto or transport work.

Due to the Fendt iD concept, the rated engine speed is just 1,700rpm, with 1,680Nm of torque available between 1,300 and 1,400rpm, while transport speeds of 40kph can be reached at 950rpm, or 60kph at 1,450rpm.

An electronic load-sensing hydraulic pump provides 165 litres/min as standard, with options of 220 litres/min or 385 litres/min, with a 58-litre independent steering pump.

Up to six electronic valves are available at the rear, and a maximum of two at the front, while the rear lift can handle up to 10,500kg. The front linkage has a capacity of 5,300kg. The tractor has an overall payload capacity of 7,600kg.

To limit maintenance, Fendt has integrated some neat features, including a self-cleaning engine air filter and cab filter, using pressurised air to blow these out periodically. To minimise downtime in the field, Fendt also offers the fully integrated VarioGrip central tyre inflation system.

The cabin has the option of reverse drive and comes with the FendtOne dual screen, which allows for machine adjustment and precision farming systems, as well as being wirelessly linked to the offboard system for task data sharing.

A new LED package has also been added, with up to 32 lights available for mounting, and new GroundVision LEDs that are mounted on the mudguards and shine downwards for shadow-free visibility when hooking up implements.
