Michelin’s agricultural trailer tyre range has been extended with the new WorkxBib, designed for tipping trailers, slurry tankers and manure spreaders.
Tom Saunders, Agricultural Beyond Road customer engineering support manager at Michelin, says: “In a sector marked by increasingly intensive road use and demanding field performance, we’ve developed the WorkxBib for contractors and farmers.
“Our latest fitment has a wide range of applications from public works and civil engineering through to haulage and livestock farming.”
It can support up to 6,500kg at speeds of 65kph and is designed as a counterpart to the existing TrailxBib range. According to the company, it has been engineered to meet the demands of trailer platforms, combining endurance, high load capacity and realiability, with a larger footprint.
It has a steel-belted crown, robust carcass and bead area, and a high performance compound for enhanced puncture resistance. The serrated shoulders are said to improve stability on sloping ground, while the large tread blocks ensure good self-cleaning properties.
For the replacement market, the tyre is being rolled out progressively, with an initial size – 600/55 R26.5 – available from October 2026. This will be followed by three additional sizes in the second quarter of 2027: 650/55 R26.5, 600/60 R30.5, and the 560/60 R22.5.
