Continuing the work on the T5 tractor portfolio – which now includes the S variant we saw earlier in the year – New Holland showcased its new T5 Electro Command, offering automatic gear shifting with the company’s IntelliShift system.
The 16×16 powershift gearbox can provide up to eight fully automated gearshifts during transport as standard, analysing engine speed, transmission speed, forward speed and engine load to optimise the timing and achieve 40kph at 1,970rpm.
Other technology has been brought down to the range as well, including a deluxe specification that includes suspension at the seat, cabin and front axle. The Terraglide front axle suspension provides 80mm of travel, with three modes to match the tractor to the working conditions.
As standard, each T5 Electro Command has a gross vehicle weight of 8,000kg; a rear linkage capacity of 5,200kg and an 80 litre/min hydraulic package. Each model can also be specified with a front loader.
