Long-running dealership JG Paxton & Sons Ltd will take over J. Wood & Son (Bilsdale Ploughs) Ltd, facilitating expansion into the northeast and Yorkshire.
Before the acquisition, JG Paxton operated four depots in Pity Me, Northallerton, Alnwick and Bentham. The purchase of J. Wood follows the retirement of owner Mark Bentley and includes premises in Kirkbymoorside. All staff members will join the JG Paxton business.

Upon the takeover, Paxtons will hold Case IH, JCB, Kverneland, Vicon, Bednar & Ktwo franchises at Kirkbymoorside. It gives us great confidence that our major suppliers believe in us to go ahead with the expansion and it enables us to meet our customers’ ever-changing needs.”
