Vicon expands dealer network with Vincent Tractors & Plant

Vicon continues to develop its dealer network, and the latest appointment is that of Vincent Tractors & Plant, with depots in Fraddon, Cornwall, plus Holsworthy in north Devon, and Smithaleigh near Plympton in south Devon.

This appointment gives Vicon a greater foothold in the south west region, enabling Vincent Tractors & Plant to sell sprayers and balers through Fraddon and Smithaleigh, with the entire Vicon range available through the Holsworthy depot – a location previously occupied by former Vicon dealer WH Bond.

Importantly for customers of the former WH Bond business and its predecessor IDM Services, this appointment increases sales, service, parts and technical support for the rapidly expanding Vicon sprayer range.

“We’re delighted to add the Vicon portfolio to our business,” explains Vincent Tractors & Plant managing director Paul Vincent. “Vicon is a well-established premium brand with a strong reputation, and its extensive product range now takes us into new market sectors with a well-respected range of mounted and trailed sprayers.”

Serving farmers across Cornwall for more than 50 years, the business that was started by Paul’s parents, Ken and Esme Vincent, has recently welcomed third generation family members Alec and Nick Vincent into the fold. The brothers’ arrival, combined with the recent business expansion – both geographically and with a diverse range of equipment – puts the dealership in a strong position to continue growing its customer base.

With 44 staff including nine full-time salesmen and 14 mobile and workshop-based technicians across its three depots, the Vincent family prides itself on keeping up-to-date with specialist product knowledge and support for its customers, as Nick Vincent explains.

“We’ve recently completed extensive product training on the new range of Vicon iXter and iXtrack sprayers, so we can continue to give existing Vicon customers the best backup and support, while introducing new customers to these innovative, high-tech sprayers,” explains Nick Vincent, who ias part of the sales team.

Commenting on the appointment, Vicon sales manager David Furber reports that the new venture with Vincent Tractors & Plant is one that will also be welcomed by existing Vicon sprayer customers.

“We’re pleased to have secured a well-known dealer to handle sales and service of our new sprayers in an area that has given us a strong market share,” says David Furber. “The Vincent family has a great reputation for supporting its customers with a range of high-quality machinery, and we’re really proud to be supporting this business with the Vicon range.”
