    Univoq impresses in AHDB trials

The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) has conducted independent trials showing that Corteva Agriscience’s Univoq fungicide continues to be a leading treatment against septoria and rusts.

The trials, which are now in their 30th year, are designed to monitor the performance of both straight and coformulation fungicides to help guide product choice. Univoq contains the Inatrq active molecule and patented i-Q4 formulation, meaning there is no cross-resistance with other chemistry.

“Univoq has consistently proven its ability to control key diseases, most notably septoria,” said Corteva’s field technical manager Craig Chisholm.

“The 2023 AHDB fungicide trials back up what farmers have seen in the field for the past three seasons – Inatreq provides robust control against key diseases and great yield returns.”

The trials are conducted in high-risk locations, to maximise the difference between treatments, and use highly susceptive varieties. While individual trial data i not published, the AHDB report says that Univoq demonstrated a superior yield.

“2023 was the third year on the trot where the across years yield summary has shown clear daylight between Univoq yields and those of the next closest competitor,” added Mr Chisholm. “This demonstrates just how reliable the performance of Univoq is across seasons with varying characteristics.”
