Currently looking for a UK distributor, Šálek is the second largest tractor producer in the Czech Republic after Zetor. It specialises in narrow models for high-value crops, as well as trailers and implements for vineyards and orchards.
At Agritechnica, the company showcased three machines, all meeting Stage V emissions and built around a simple, easy-to-use philosophy. The Vega Comfort 26 HTD has a 26hp Hatz engine, with an 8×8 mechanical gearbox. It’s fitted with a 35 litre/min hydraulic system, with a 620kg rear hitch and an optional 510kg front lift.
It was shown with a brand new cabin, said to offer increased comfort, with a newly designed profile, optimised airflow and reinforced A-pillars. Full production is planned for next year.
The Vega Comfort 57 HTD is the company’s most powerful tractor, offering 57hp from the Hatz engine, which is fitted with a diesel particulate filter. It features the same transmission, hydraulics package and front and rear lift as the smaller version.
Rounding out the stand was the articulated MT8-132, one of the company’s oldest production tractors, with 23.7hp under the bonnet. According to Šálek, the tractor remains a popular choice, with minimal design changes.
