    Cargill, KW renew C*Traffordgold contract

KW, AB Agri’s retail co-product business, and Cargill have announced that that their sales and marketing contract for C*Traffordgold has been renewed.

Over the last 13 years KW has been developing and successfully marketing C*Traffordgold, one of the products manufactured at Cargill’s starch and sweeteners plant in Manchester to dairy and beef farmers across the UK.

C*Traffordgold, which is a highly palatable and nutritious moist feed, has become well respected on many farms and is now seen as a key part of ruminant livestock diets. Cargill and KW worked in collaboration during the transition from C*Traffordgold produced from maize to C*Traffordgold produced from UK sourced wheat. This co-operation has made the product what it is today, a value for money, high performance ruminant feed.

Cargill’s UK Sales Manager, Proteins, Fibres & Lipids, Dave Wood, comments ‘the solid proposal detailing the sales and marketing strategy to the UK dairy and beef farm market, as well as a measured approach to managing supply and demand, offered a strong basis to continue the partnership with KW.’

Co-Product Supply Director Dave Forster states ‘KW is extremely proud to be able to continue to take such a highly respected moist feed product out to our farmer customers, and we are committed to creating a winning and sustainable proposition through the KW brand. The demand for quality, nutritious moist feeds is high in the UK dairy and beef markets and market research suggests that demand for these sorts of feeds will continue to increase generating a real opportunity for growth in this area.’
