A new flagship X-Trem 2 field tanker was introduced by Joskin. The TX variant has three models, with capacities from 26,750 up to 30,510 litres, each mounted on triaxle running gear. The chassis measures just 800mm, enabling 800/60 R32 tyres to be fitted as standard, and 800/65 R32s to be available as an option while staying within legal road limits.
The galvanised chassis is directly connected to the drawbar, meaning that all tractive forces go through the structure of the machine, rather than the tank. The running gear also includes the company’s hydraulic suspension, which is said to evenly distribute the weight of the machine across the three axles and to the left and right for improved stability.
The front axle can also be lifted, adding weight to the drawbar when working in difficult conditions, but also reducing tyre wear when travelling empty on the road.
Various pump options are available, including a Vogelsang 12,000 litre/min model, and application booms up to 36m wide can be fitted.
The company will also offer its new 10in Dorsal boom on the X-Trem 2 TX, with a TurboFiller and a fully galvanised construction. It’s mounted on a rotating platform that can move through 270deg and has three points of articulation, enabling the tanker to be parked directly next to the filling point and angle the boom 90deg downwards.
