Opico has announced the appointment of Charlies Groundcare and Machinery to the Maschio Gaspardo, Opico and HE-VA dealer network.

Based near Welshpool, the company specialises in ground care, turf, golf and forestry machinery and has been serving farmers and the amenity sector for over 17 years. It took on the John Deere franchise in 2008 and has continued to expand and include multiple brands.

The company will now offer HE-VA cultivation, Opico grassland, batch dryers and mechanical weeders, and the full Maschio Gaspardo portfolio. With a depot on the outskirts of Welshpool, Charlies Groundcare is ideally positioned to grow the franchises.

Commenting Charles Bedforth, sales director for Opico Ltd said: “We couldn’t be more delighted that Charlies Groundcare has chosen to sell and support our three brands. Charlies Groundcare and Machinery is a well-known business in the area, with a hard-earned reputation for quality and honest, family values.”

Ross Holloway, dealer principal for Charlies Groundcare commented: “I’m impressed with the range of machines and excellent build quality available from Opico. We’re fired up and ready to go with both service and sales training, so that we can get stuck into demonstrating, selling and supporting the range.”
